EN The forecast predicted partly rainy weather for the race weekend in Prague-Řepy. Thank God this did not come true and not only the Czech competitors have another sunny racing weekend behind them. We will all have to get used to the fact that the quarterfinals will simply be part of the Czech racing program. On Saturday, the quarterfinals were contested in three categories, on Sunday in two. And that is very good! New bicross bikes for those interested in bicross were delivered to the sections in cooperation between the BMX Commission and the Sazka company. And that's even better! Závody The check number of starters was 339, including riders from Slovakia and Austria. In addition, the entire race was now broadcast live on the YouTube platform. In between the races, an exhibition of the Sazka company took place on the pump track, during which new bikos bikes were handed over on Sunday. The BMX Commission, in cooperation with the Sazka company, took care of this donation to the domestic sections. These bikes will be intended for newcomers interested in our sport, who will be able to get a taste of what it's like to ride a bicross bike, and that it's actually a great feeling and a great sport. The 15/16 category had several favorites to win. Perhaps the biggest one was Vít Novotný from TJ Favorit Brno, who was absent from the start of the opening weekend of the ČP in Brno-Lískovec. He fully confirmed his role as the favorite and became the winner on both days. Most of the remaining podium positions were occupied by domestic riders from Řep. Our representatives Eliška Bartuňková and Sabina Košátková, who compete in this category at home races, showed a great performance and took fifth place (Sabina on Saturday, Eliška on Sunday). In the Men Junior-U23-Elite category, if I remember correctly, we witnessed semi-final runs after 12 long years. As I wrote earlier, above all, the large influx of last year's category 16 competitors contributed to this. None of the drivers was guaranteed their participation in the final. Spectators had a beautiful spectacle and the riders had to really push themselves. Marek Neužil put his performance from the World Championship behind him and became the winner on both days. The juniors were well ahead and took three places out of the total six available places on the podium. Cat. 15/16 Saturday: 1. Vít Novotný (TJ Favorit Brno) 2. Oliver Miltner (Faler Bike Team) 3.
