It is also worth mentioning the previous weekend, when the AMK Camp Hranice Section organized a traditional weekend double race called Intercup. Participation in this race was interesting, which is only proven by the fact that the summer break seemed even longer thanks to the spring dates of the World and European Championships. It was possible to register very nice prizes at the announcement, and there was also a parents' race, i.e. the Golden Crutch.

But now let's go back to Favorit. The time of holidays somewhere near the heat is gone, but the heat itself is not. It was sunny all weekend and everything was looking forward to great racing. The local track was excellently prepared and except for a few crashes and an unfortunate technical fault with the starting device in the very last run of the weekend, everything went smoothly. Most of the falls were just normal slips or rider contact, but two of them had more serious consequences. During Friday's training, Dracing Team rider Petra Dreiseitlová fell and suffered several broken ribs, so she watched the live stream on YouTube from a hospital bed all weekend. On Sunday, Viktor Oldřich Chudoba from Republika had a fall in one of the basic runs, apparently his chain fell just before the first jump in the pro section and Viktor unfortunately landed on his knee. We wish Viktor and Petra a speedy recovery!

The Boys 13/14, Boys 15/16 and JM-U23-EM categories are among the busiest this year, and last weekend was no exception. All spectators can watch, for example, the Boys 13 drivers in every race, as they fight for the top spots and try to beat their rivals who are a year older. This weekend it was mainly Dominik Ráliš, Adam Peterek, Matyáš Krnáč, Štěpán Havelka and David Lapka. The Boys 15/16 category so far seems to be more dominated by older riders, but even here younger riders appear in the final races, for example Tobias Bleier, Václav Najser or Jan Hanus. Young ferocity is also evident in the fastest JM-U23-EM category, although this is partly due to the fact that there are not many U23 or Elite riders competing in the Czech Republic at the moment. Even so, for the few of them (Neužil, Polesný, Linhart, Vesecký, Bábek) it does not mean a comfortable weekend and a clear win. Vít Gruntorád from Pardubice had an excellent first straight all weekend and together with another junior, Jakub Klement from Opava, accompanied the representative Marko Neužil to the podium on both days. Homegrown Vít Novotný had a great first straight and actually the entire course, who became the clear winner of the Boys 15/16 category on both days and even led for a long time in the bonus competition for the fastest time of the weekend. Of course, the Boys 15/16 and JM-U23-EM categories have a different second straight, but I'm still very curious to see how Vít Novotný will do next year when he becomes a junior. I think that older riders will not be able to take him lightly. Also worthy of mention is Eliška Bartuňková, who is successfully fighting with riders in the 15/16 category and is thus adjusting her form for foreign competitions, where she competes in the Women Elite category.
