EN Representatives of the Talent team and the BMX National Team competed against European rivals in France's Sarrians and Belgium's Zolder. Both weekends had one thing in common, and that was very unfavorable weather. Above all, the race in Sarrians was very affected by the weather and in the end only the Sunday round took place, when all championship categories started from a small start and the pro section was closed. Zolder had already completed the race, but the frequent showers were not good for the local asphalt, which was very slippery and many riders paid the price. Evropský pohár The shortened race weekend in Sarrians, France was a relatively promising start to the season for junior Jakub Cidlinski. Today, a relatively unusual men's race through the mini section put a stop sign for Jakub right before the gates of the final. Elen Lapková (Girls 15/16) and Vít Novotný (Boys 15/16) reached the semi-final position. The participation of our national colors in the final was ensured by Sabina Košárková (Women U23), who crossed the finish line in fourth place. The Belgian Zolder was no longer so modest in terms of participation in the finals, and our representatives appeared in five finals. In the Girls 15/16 category, Elen Lapková made it to the finals twice and took sixth and seventh place. Sabina Košárková finished in the semi-finals on Saturday, but on Sunday she returned to the top eight in the category Women U23 and took fourth place. Eliška Bartuňková has had a very successful weekend and returns home with two participations in the finals of the Women Elite category (fourth place on Saturday and fifth place on Sunday). Albert Vlček's semi-final position in the Boys 15/16 category is also worth mentioning, as he lost his chance to fight for the final on the first straight, where he fell. Our representatives Eliška Bartuňková and Sabina Košárková will take part in the Olympic Test Event race in Paris, France, next weekend. The girls will thus be able to taste the track that will host the Olympic BMX Racing race in the summer.
