At Sarrians, Czech bicross presented itself with a new jersey design for the Challenge category. Compared to the standard blue version of the jerseys that belong to the Czech national team, a new red set of jerseys was introduced this year, which is experiencing its premiere this weekend. The riders of the cadet categories celebrated this news in style!

Boys 15

Four Czech representatives made it to the final run of the Boys 15 category, i.e. half of the final list. That in itself was a great result that had a gold and silver dot after crossing the finish line. Dominik Ráliš did not give his opponents a chance today and followed up on last year's first place in the Challenge World Championship with another victory. After a strong finish, he was joined by Matyáš Krnáč in second place, and last year's winner Ti D-S from Great Britain came third. Adam Peterek took the sixth place, and after falling, David Lapka placed eighth.

Girls 16

We had two representatives in this category, namely Štěpánka Fremlová and Veronika Žáčková. Veronika Žáčková fared better, finishing just below the podium and taking fourth place from Sarrians. Unfortunately for Fremlová, the race ended in the semi-finals.

Boys 16

Matěj Pavka also presented himself in the new red variant of the jersey, and he too was close to participating in the final. Unfortunately for him, the race ended when he fell from the lead position during the semi-final run.

Junior, Under 23 and Elite categories

Here we had three female and four male representatives. Vít Gruntorád made it the farthest in the men's category. However, for him, the quarter-final participation was today's maximum. The same position also applied to junior Elen Lapková. Our elite competitor Eliška Bartuňková experienced an unlucky ride when she slipped from the first rung in the first turn, clicked the pedal and was unable to pick up speed again. Sabina Košárková had an unsuccessful run in the semi-finals and for a long time was out of the TOP 8 of the Women Under 23 category. However, she won the final position with a crushing finish. She started very well in the final heat, but was closed by the future winner Van Santvoort from the Netherlands after the first jump. After two bronze finishes from previous championships, Košárková takes seventh place this year.

The third and last day of the European BMX Racing Championship 2026 awaits us on Sunday. The program includes categories from 11 years and up, where we will have a total of 25 Czech representatives.
