EN This year's domestic bicross season started in style, home Viktor Oldřich Chudoba was happy with the victory. At the start of the already traditional opener of the home season, a respectable 286 competitors came together not only from the entire Czech Republic, but also from Poland, Slovakia, and Germany to test their strength right at the beginning of the year. From early in the morning, there was lively activity, tension and anticipation of the first fights of the year in the area. The spring sun combined with a light wind created ideal conditions for fast and technical riding. The track was perfectly prepared and offered a number of dramatic moments, crashes and close finishes that kept the spectators on their toes throughout the day. The culmination of the program was the main Elite 17 + category, where the battle of the best took place. In the end, Viktor Oldřich Chudoba from the organizing team, who showed a stable performance and confirmed his excellent form at the beginning of the season, came out with a sovereign performance. Jakub Vesecký from SC BMX Venátky finished in second place and Oliver Miltner from Faler bike team came in third. Riders in the Boys 15/16 category were given a free hand in the form of the option to ride through the PRO section, and this option enjoyed great interest. The race also had a strong moment from a historical point of view. Bikrosclub Řepy entered the race in replicas of its very first jerseys from 1986, and thus celebrated 40 years since the club was founded in style. The retro look of the team clothing aroused a great response among fans and other competitors and gave the whole event a unique touch of tradition and respect for the history of Czech BMX. OPENSEASON 2026 thus confirmed its role as an important entry into the season - not only thanks to the high participation and quality performances, but also the atmosphere that combined the present with the rich past of this sport.
