The BMX Commission of the Czech Cycling Association is organizing the fourth and final training workshop focused on the discipline of BMX racing on Sunday, March 2, 2025. This series of educational events, which aims to raise the level of coaching leadership and development of BMX in the Czech Republic, will culminate under the leadership of an important foreign guest.

The main speaker and lecturer of this last workshop will be Alejandro Alcojor, the current coach of the Spanish national team. Alejandro Alcojor, who was an elite rider and representative of Spain in BMX in the past, will bring to the Czech Republic valuable experience and the latest training methods used in Spain and at the international level.

As in previous workshops, the program will focus on key aspects of BMX training, including riding technique, rider physical preparation, race tactics and the psychological side of performance, but this time based on the experience from Spain. Participants will thus have a unique opportunity to obtain valuable information and practical skills from an experienced trainer and former rider, which they can subsequently apply in their coaching practice.

At the end of the coaching workshop, Martin Barabáš will give a short lecture, who is responsible for the selection, training and education of national referees and their nominations for individual races within the BMX Commission of the Czech Cycling Association. His lecture will focus on the most common situations that referees deal with during competitions, and decision-making methods will also be demonstrated in case situations. The workshop will be a significant conclusion to this educational series and will provide trainers with additional inspiration and tools for the development of their mentees. BMX racing in the Czech Republic will thus gain another impetus to move to a higher level.

Due to the technical condition of the BMX tracks in and around Prague, it will not be possible to carry out the training blocks with Alejandro Alcojor that were originally planned. However, an alternative solution is being prepared in the form of private training groups. More detailed information will be provided through the managers of individual clubs.
