Report: 1. a 2. kolo České bikrosové ligy | Litoměřice

Around 120 competitors lined up for the start of the first round of this year's Czech Bicross League in Litoměřice. The total number of starters could definitely be higher. The local section made it a point with a very busy entertainment program throughout the weekend. In addition to the regular basic, advanced and final rides, there was also competition in sack jumping, a retro race on Velamos BMX bikes, and a dirt contest on both days! In the same way, the weather was varied, although the rain on Saturday was replaced by a sunny Sunday.

To top it all off, the race director and head of the TJ Slavoj Terezín Petr Soubusta appealed to our fastest riders to exchange SPD pedals for classic platforms, or "flats" for the Litoměřice weekend. This challenge was accepted by some riders, which was very welcome. Perhaps in the future we will see more "races on flats" within the CBL.

In the above-mentioned fastest Men 17+ category, local rider and trainer Vojtěch Kašpar rejoiced at the victory on Saturday, behind whom race director Petr Soubusta narrowly defended second place at the finish line and thus resisted the attacks of Matěj Psota from Bohnice. However, Sunday brought a different finish to the final race. Matěj Psota improved and exchanged Saturday's bronze for Sunday's gold. Vojtěch Kašpar, on the other hand, went down a notch and won silver. They were joined on the podium by another local driver, Tomáš Tesařík. An unpopular potato position remained at Soubust on Sunday.
