EN The TJ-Slovan Bohnice-BMX section, which last year hosted the Sazka Championship of the Czech Republic for individuals and teams, this year took care of the opening of this year's series of the Sazka Czech BMX Cup. If I simplify it a bit, except for the anthem that was not played last weekend, both weekends were very similar. The weather is great, the number of starting riders is around 350, the track is very fast, Czech TV cameras are present, in short, bicross is going! Závody One of the riders who is doing great this year is the Venetian Jakub Cidlinský (Men U23). He already has three home wins on his account this year. He took care of the first at the Open Season race in Prague-Řepy, to which he added two more on the opening weekend of Sazka ČP BMX. This coming weekend he has a chance to confirm his form at the European Cup in Zolder, Belgium, and improve his appetite after a poor European weekend in Verona. Junior Viktor Oldřich Chudoba (Bikrosclub Řepy) is also performing solidly and steadily this year, earning him two second places in Prague-Bohnice. Matěj Chalupný (Bike Team Uničov) took third place on Saturday and Vít Novotný (TJ Favorit Brno) on Sunday. It could be said that Cidlinský was inspired by his younger stablemate Jan Hanus, who started two final races earlier and he too will take a double from Bohnice in the form of two firsts in his Boys 15/16 category. On Saturday he was joined on the podium by second Matěj Pavka (BMX Krupka) and third Ondřej Hendrych (SC BMX Venátky), on Sunday it was second Ondřej Hendrych and third David Černý (TJ Slovan Bohnice-BMX). Anyone who watched the weekend races closely, either directly from the venue or livestreamed on the Czech BMX Youtube channel, could get the impression that Saturday and Sunday's winners were repeating themselves. And it would be the right impression, because after checking the results from both days, two different drivers stood on the top step in only one category. I'm talking about the Boys 11 category, where Jiří Luska (Bikros Team Vyškov) and Tomáš Souček (TJ BMX Pardubice) were happy about Saturday's win. In the other categories, it was the double victories that were so popular last weekend. The following riders took care of them: Mia Roškotová (Bikrosclub Řepy - Boys 6), Laura Tejmarová (TJ Slovan Bohnice-BMX - Boys 7), Matěj Novák (Bikrosclub Řepy - Boys 8), Radim Průcha (Bikrosclub Řepy - Boys 9), Albert Kohoutek (SC BMX Venátky - Boys 10), Jakub Skřejpek (TJ Favorit Brno - Cruiser under 44), Pavel Smrček (TJ Favorite Brno - Cruiser 45+), Štěpán Janeček (Tufo Pardus Prostějov - Boys 12), Adam Peterek (SK Jantar Opava - Boys 13/14) and his older brother Robin Peterek (SK Jantar Opava - Men 17+). The Sazka Czech BMX Cup will move from Prague's Bohnice to Řep, where the 3rd and 4th rounds will be held on the first weekend of May.
