EN After three weeks, we all met again at the continuation of the Sazko Czech BMX Cup, again it was Prague, but this time the Ráp part. The weather outlook was not favorable and although the weather did affect the race a bit in a way, it ended up not being as bad as we might have feared. In the final, it was a successful continuation of the series and there was no shortage of proper racing. During the weekend, riders had the opportunity to spend their free time on the portable pump track, which was available thanks to the Sazka company, and where there was also an exhibition of the best. In addition, new bikes were handed over to other departments on Saturday. More about that in the article. Závody The factor that affected the race last weekend was the occasional wind. Saturday's race was not affected so much, because the wind was either at your back or the other way around. For this Sunday's race, the riders had to contend not only with their rivals or the local track, but also with an unpleasant side wind all day. His presence resulted in a unanimous vote by the Junior-U23-Elite riders to race through the mini section and not take unnecessary risks. After all, the continuation of the UEC European Cup awaits them next weekend and the UCI World Cups are also approaching. The drivers mentioned above did not give each other anything again, they raced elbow to elbow, even in heats. Saturday's final race ended with several riders crashing at the end of the first straight, but all those caught up in the crash lined up for the start of Sunday's race. Sebastian Sulka from Slovakia had a great start to his final race on Saturday, thanks to which he avoided a fall and went on to win. He was joined on the podium by the ageless Tomáš Haluza (TJ Favorit Brno) and Oliver Miltner (Faler bike team). Sunday's race through the mini section, on the other hand, was dominated by local Viktor Oldřich Chudoba, who thus relegated Saturday's winner Sulka to second place. The series leader in this category, Venetian Jakub Cidlinský, finished third. The riders of the Boys 7 category, namely Laura Tejmarová (TJ Slovan Bohnice-BMX) and local Radek Houška, showed a nice fight all weekend long. Especially in Sunday's race, Houška was very close to the first crossbar, but in the end Tejmarová took the lead and thus continues her great season, not only on the domestic scene. So far, the rider of the Boys 15/16 category, Jan Hanus (SC BMX Venátky), is enjoying the great success of the Sazka ČP series. During the first four rounds of the series, he didn't let anyone onto the top step and rightfully holds the lead in the overall standings. During the weekend, there was also the continuation of the support of the Czech Cycling Association in an effort to make bicross accessible to as many children as possible. Other sections thus received brand new Meybo bikes, which will be used for newcomers to the club, and which will attract them to our sport forever. The clubs that took the bikes from Řep were AMK Kemp Hranice, Tufír Team, Bikros Milovice, BMX Krupka and Laguna Cycles Team. Thank you to the Czech Cycling Association!
