Report: 3. a 4. kolo UEC Evropského poháru | Tiel, Nizozemsko

The Easter European Cup is already such an evergreen. It was no different this year either, although the venue moved slightly to the north and instead of Zolder in Belgium, the race was held in Tiel in the Netherlands this year. The weather was a big factor last weekend, which significantly affected the course of the race. It was still a successful weekend for our colors!

The Championship categories earned us five final positions on both days. In the third round of the EP on Saturday, three competitors from the Boys 15/16 category took care of them. Dominik Ráliš took second place, Matyáš Krnáč placed fifth and in the final they were joined by seventh Matěj Pavka. Junior Elen Lapková took sixth place, and Viktor Oldřich Chudoba, who finished eighth in the Men U23 category, also won the final with a great smart ride. The elite Eliška Bartuňková took seventh place among the elite in the reduced order.

Štěpánka Fremlová took part in Sunday's final, taking seventh place among girls 15/16. Among Boys 15/16, Ráliš finished fourth, Krnáč then seventh. For Ráliš, it was already the fourth participation in the EP final this season! Junior Lapková, who took fifth place in the fourth round, is still holding the same streak. The last finalist in our colors was Eliška Bartuňková, who improved by two places and, like Lapková, will take fifth place from the fourth round.

As is customary, our Challenge category riders appear quite frequently among the TOP 8 of their categories. Their third and fourth rounds of the EP were spread over three racing days, with some categories having their third round on Saturday, the rest on Sunday, and finally all categories had their fourth round on Easter Monday.

In the third round, we recorded the final position with these drivers. Jakub Skřejpek (Cruiser 40/44) and Laura Tejmarová (Girls 9) did not find a winner in their categories and both took first place. The trio of category 8 girls immediately stood at the start of the final of their category, Amálie Řezáčová crossed the finish line in second place, Mia Roškotová fourth and Mia Šantavá eighth. Among Cruisers 45+, Martin Barabáš took sixth place. In the Boys 9 category, Sebastián Štěpánek placed seventh, among Boys 11, Albert Kohoutek was third and Kryštof Šulc was fourth. Sunday's part of the third round was the final for a pair of riders in the Boys 11 category, namely the second Tomáš Souček and the fourth Tadeáš Vlk, as well as Barbora Maarová, who placed eighth in the Girls 13/14 category.

The Easter fourth round brought us four places on the highest step. Jakub Skřejpek (Cruiser 40/44), Mia Roškotová (Girls 8), Laura Tejmarová (Girls 9) and Tomáš Souček (Boys 12) rejoiced at the victory. The winner Mia Roškotová was joined in the final by the third Mia Šantavá and the fifth Amálie Řezáčová. In the same way, Souček was not the only Czech at the start of his final race, as he was accompanied to the podium by Tadeáš Vlk, who won silver, and Matyáš Karel Klapetek, who came seventh, was also happy about the final. Sebastián Štěpánek took eighth place among Boys 9, Barbora Maarová took sixth place among Girls 13/14, and a pair of riders from the Boys 11 category took second and fifth place in the composition of Max Roškot and Albert Kohoutek.

On Czech soil, we have already completed the Open Season in Řepy and also the opening two rounds of the Czech Bicross League. Now on the program are the opening two rounds of the Allwyn Czech BMX Cup, hosted by Pardubice. As always, registration for the race is possible here on the website until 6 p.m. on Friday.
