EN The riders had the last opportunity to test their form before the upcoming UCI World Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark, at the continuation of the UEC European BMX Racing Cup in Ängelholm, Sweden. The ninth and tenth rounds of the series were on the program. Our country was represented at the start of the race by three riders, but there were no shortage of final positions! Evropský pohár The three Czech representatives mentioned above were the two drivers of the Boys 14 category Dominik Ráliš and David Lapka, who were supplemented by the competitor of the Cruiser 40/44 category Martin Barabáš. Lower participation was more or less expected, but on the other hand, riders from non-European countries also took part in the race. They used this term and could see the race as acclimatization to the European environment and a different time. Dominik Ráliš was probably processing the disappointment of the ME final race. But he did his best in Sweden - he returned to the top of his category. He climbed to the top step of the podium on both days, so he can travel to Copenhagen in good health. David Lapka ended his race in the semi-finals on Saturday, but Sunday's fifth place certainly encouraged him as well! Martin Barabáš was in the finals in his category on both days. His performances were enough for fifth place on Saturday and fourth place on Sunday. Results of the Championships categories: Saturday: Men Junior: 1. Day (USA), 2. Tanner (Britain), 3. Sunday: Men Junior: 1. Tanner, 2. Day, 3. Brouns (Bel.). Men U23/Elite: 1. Schaub (Germany), 2. Darnard (Fra.), 3. Hartman (Netherlands). Women Championship: 1. Hatakeyama, 2. Yabuta, 3. Beck (Germany). More than 60 Czech competitors will compete at the start of the UCI BMX Racing World Championship. Training sessions for the Challenge category drivers are on the program on the weekend of July 26 and 27, the race itself will then start on Monday the 28th, and the Challenge categories will run until Thursday the 31st of July. On the weekend of August 2nd and 3rd, riders of the Championship categories will be fighting for the rainbow jerseys!
