Venice nad Jizerou, a place that in recent years has become a location in the sights of BMX riders not only from the Czech Republic. The local section SC BMX Venátky has developed to the European level during its time on the bicross scene with its background. We are the only club to have two starting hills, which are almost standard in the world. Above all, the one for the Men Junior-U23-Elite categories is essential in today's bicross, as all the biggest races of the season (World Championships, Olympic Games, World Cups) use the eight-meter starting hill. So it was no surprise that our fastest category had a good cast, including a few foreigners.

Local Jakub Vesecký (Men U23) showed stable performances throughout the day, in the final race he had an inside track at the start and finished with a start-finish style to win. Viktor Oldřich Chudoba (Men Junior - Bikrosclub Řepy) and Vít Novotný (Men Junior - TJ Favorit Brno) were behind him. For Cidlinski, the hopes of a good placement ended immediately after the start of the final, when he had a technical fault with the pedal. It is also worth mentioning Tomáš Haluza, who still keeps up with the young riders and shows that years of experience do count, as well as Tobias Bleier, who took advantage of the opportunity to race with older riders and was the only one to represent the 15/16 riders in the combined Boys/Men 15/16-Junior-U23-Elite category. This experience will undoubtedly help in the transition to the junior category.

The winners in the individual categories were the following riders: Ondřej Kouba (Boys 6 - TJ BMX Pardubice), Radek Houška (Boys 7 - Bikrosclub Řepy), Jan Novák (Boys 8 - SC BMX Venátky), Radim Průcha (Boys 9 - Bikrosclub Řepy), Max Roškot (Boys 10 - Bikrosclub Řepy), Jakub Skřejpek (Cruiser - TJ Favorit Brno), Tomáš Souček (Boys 11 - TJ BMX Pardubice), Denis Krejčí (Boys 12 - TJ Slovan Bohnice-BMX), Ladislav Pejzl (Boys 13/14 - SC BMX Venice), Jan Hanus (Boys 15/16 - SC BMX Venice) and Tomáš Vesecký (Men 17+ - SC BMX Venice).

The final rides can be viewed on the Czech BMX YouTube channel.

As already mentioned, the 3rd and 4th rounds of the Sazka Czech BMX Cup in Prague-Řepy await us this weekend!
