EN There is only one week left until the start of this year's Sazka Czech Cup BMX series. We had the opportunity to fine-tune our racing form last weekend in Pardubice, where the traditional Control Race of the national team took place, which was followed by the start of the Czech League on Sunday. The number of riders slightly exceeded 200, even though the weather forecast was not on the side of the organizers. Závody Despite the aforementioned cold weather, especially on Sunday, I heard a few reports that the races went very well. The facilities for caravans prepared and the local buffet are said to be excellent again! We once again had the opportunity to watch all the rides on the Czech BMX YouTube channel. Those who watched probably remember the two falls that occurred in the final races. Whether it is Saturday's Men Junior-U23-Elite final, where it was a real elbow-to-elbow fight immediately after the start, or Sunday's first place, which Dominik Ráliš won after he lost control of his bike on the last jump and literally flew over his side across the finish line. According to the past home races this year, it looks like the Boys 13/14 category in particular will be really tough this year, as far as the competition is concerned. Hopefully, this will lead to an improvement in the quality of the riders, and that the riders will translate this into success in European races. Ondřej Hendrych and Jakub Vesecký (both SC BMX Venice) won Saturday's race in the Boys 15/16 and Men Junior-U23-Elite categories, respectively. On Sunday, Hendrych was joined by local Tomáš Merta, who replaced Vesecky and took first place in the Men 17+ category.
