In Kraslice, there will be a fight for medals at the CR championship in pump track

On Saturday, Kraslice will turn into the center of the Czech pump track. The best riders from all over the country will come to the track there - from the youngest talents to women to elite competitors. In each category, a new champion or champion of the Czech Republic will be decided.

Every rider is obliged to wear a homologated full-face helmet on the pump track during the entire race, including official training. He must also be equipped with knee pads and long-fingered gloves. Gloves are at the rider's discretion in the elite, masters category and among women over 18 years of age. At the same time, it is recommended to consider the use of a shell or backbone.

You can race on bicycles 20 to 26 inches in size, which must be equipped with a functional rear brake. The use of foot pedals (SPD, etc.) is prohibited. The track measures 160 meters.

In each category, a maximum of 16 male and female competitors advance to the elimination competitions, with the exception of the elite category, where up to 30 riders can enter.

"It is difficult to predict how many riders will be at the start. Some are already registered, but the majority of competitors only register right before the race. I estimate that at least fifty riders will start, including bikers who go to every race," said race director Michael Rok. He also mentioned the start of eleven-year-old Jan Nádvorník, who a week ago finished third among juniors at the world championship in Sweden.

"The weather should be pleasant, the forecast says temperatures just above 20 degrees. An interesting and fast spectacle awaits riders and spectators, exciting battles from the first to the last race. The accompanying program will include recorded music, an exhibition by Jakub Vencl will take place, and refreshments for competitors and spectators, who have free entry, will be provided throughout the day."
