EN The pure autumn weather quite possibly played a role in the decision of many riders whether to travel to the last two rounds of the Sazek Czech BMX Cup in Opava. Although the participation of just over 200 riders was not dizzyingly large, it did not affect the quality of the performances and the spectator experience. When arriving at Městské sady in Opava, where the bicross track is located, there were monuments and remnants of damage from the recent floods all around, but this was no longer the case when entering the area itself. The SK Jantar Opava club has done a great job and returned its area to its original condition. The brand new facility underwent its overhaul and apart from a minor delay with the chips on Saturday, everything ran smoothly. The report from Sunday's race will be broadcast on Czech TV, and the complete recording of both race days is available on the Czech BMX YouTube channel. Závody For the competitors, this weekend was the last chance to change the overall order of the ČP. Those aiming for the top positions must have thought about whether the dry weather would be the enemy of the first and third turns, which the racers enter at high speeds and in the past we could see a lot of slips. Unfortunately, the riders did not avoid these falls this year either, but I personally expected it to be a little worse. I've heard that both of the bends mentioned could be renovated. That would definitely be welcome. Although the Opava track does not have sections, the second straight has undergone a partial transformation and is now more than enough of a challenge even for the fastest drivers. The absolute fastest was Marek Neužil from Bohnica, who took home an interesting financial reward for the fastest lap of the entire weekend. The results of both race days are available on the Czech BMX Whatsapp group and on the CzechBMX.cz website.
